1. We are uncomfortable asking for raises

We’re worried about making people uncomfortable because then we have to feel uncomfortable with them.

2. We are not good at negotiating in the moment

When we’re trying to negotiate, we freeze up and get uncomftable. It’s only after we’ve had time to process that we realize what we wish we had said.

3. Our gifts don’t translate well into a resume

Intuition and empathy aren’t valued highly in a capitalistic society.

4. We have trouble receiving

We feel guilty accepting money when we know there’s other people who are in need.

5. We get bored easily

We need a lot of mental stimulation to stay engaged, but it’s hard to find mentally stimulating people who aren’t also toxic.

6. We have trouble recieving

We are givers who have trouble receiving and asking for help.

7. We need our work to be meaningful

We get burnt out doing work that we aren’t passionate about.

8. We get overwhelmed easily

Modern day work places are not nervous-system friendly.

9. We have low self-worth

We don’t believe that we deserve to have a lot of money, we believe we have to over-work and prove our worth to earn it.

10. We have trouble selling things that matter to us

The more we care about something, the more scared we are to put it out in the world.

11. We see selling as manipulative

We have a hard time selling because we’ve learned that selling means mis-leading people.

12. We don’t trust that our strengths have value

Society tells us that our stregnths aren’t valued, but the world is ready for us to share our gifts.

13. We hate networking

We are introverts who don’t know or socialize with a lot of people.

14. We are introverts

We don’t have a lot of opportunities to meet new people because we like to spend most of our time alone. When we finally do socialize, it’s hard to find people we connect with.

15. We are unique

If we can learn to be ourselves, we can find demand for our unique personalities.
